Beth Mitchell
Beth Mitchell is Senior
Director, Government Affairs in the AmerisourceBergen Washington, D.C. office
where she focuses on federal and state advocacy to support the business
objectives of the company, its customers and patients. Beth engages with
Congressional and state lawmakers and regulatory agencies on issues including pharmacy
reimbursement, drug pricing, tax policy, controlled substance abuse and animal
health distribution. Beth collaborates with customers and business leaders
across the company to develop and advance strategies and legislation in
Congress, and she also oversees the AmerisourceBergen State Government Affairs team.
Prior to rejoining
AmerisourceBergen in 2017, Beth worked in pharmaceutical sales for
Daiichi-Sankyo and Sanofi and was with AmerisourceBergen previously as Manager
of Government Affairs in Washington, D.C. where she managed the company’s Political
Action Committee. Beth served as a Policy Advisor for the law firm Nossaman LLP
where she provided federal legislative and regulatory analysis and coalition
management for clients in transportation, defense and energy sectors. Beth
began her career on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. as a Staff Assistant for
former U.S. Senator Elizabeth Dole (R-NC).
Beth holds a B.S. in Business Administration
with a Marketing Concentration from North Carolina State University in Raleigh,
North Carolina.
